Maybe its just me but I went through all the docs and they leave alot of my questions unanswered. I feel like an idiot coming from joomla which at first glance in the admin looks far more complex than nuke, but I am terribly lost inside the admin. For instance, modules, do you just upload manually via ftp? Also I manually uploaded auto theme lite via ftp and uploaded a template via ftp, were is auto theme in the nuke admin, does it reside in the admin. Is there a concise and detailed user guide for this CMS or am I just stupid? Im running around in circles here.

And of course, you should ALWAYS read the docs that accompany modules or you'll miss important things such as manually creating any directories, CHMOD and any other special considerations.

Hi Woodsbrother -- nice to meet you and thanks for sharing your frustration. Often those of us who've been using PN forever are not tuned into what a new user experiences. I compare it to when I taught my son to tie his shoes, it had become so automated for me, but when teaching him I needed to break it into specific tasks/steps -- simple thing right. Well not for someone who had no clue on how to tie their shoes.

So anyway, I'm working on several short video how to tutorials. I'd be interested in learning what topics you'd like to see covered in addition to the couple you mentioned already.

Here is what I've done so far -- keep in mind these are short 2-5 minutes how tos. I will also create something to answer the questions you have too. :)

Hi vworld -- Thank you for creating some how-to videos for new nuke users. I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated & utilized by many!

As a fairly new user, I feel a how-to on the permissions module and hierarchy of permissions would be helpful. I read a lot on this forum about people needing help in this area.

Also, and I don't know if this is feasible or not, but a tutorial on the file structure of PostNuke would be helpful. I think most people can modify the PHP files to their liking if they only knew where to find them.

Anyway, there are just a couple of suggestions from a fairly new and often frustrated user of PostNuke. Hope this helps and thanks again.
