Hey all, anyways im just learning MYSQL and I feel like i have unlocked so many doors so far. I think its going to help me bigtime once i learn a little bit more. I had no problems installing PostNuke and assigning file perm to files and deleting the install files, but i got a few problems and questions.
1: For some reason when iam using the Xanthia, and lets say i try to edit the color pallete and when i try to save it wont update for some reason. For example I use black for background and it still shows up as the default even though i saved it. For now iam using AutoTheme.
2: this might not be a PostNuke question, but is it good to put PostNuke in its own mysql datebase ? I never really understood the background to mixing or not mixing different scrips on a single mysql datebase.
thats all i can think of for now, ill try to find other config problems i had, i know i had more. Ill get back to you on this.
Thanks

Both pnRender and Xanthia cache rendered templates.
For pnRender - go to the admin->
*Checkmark both:

Compile check
Force compilation
*Uncheckmark:
Code
Enable caching
*Click both:
Code
*Delete compiled templates
*Delete cached pages
For Xanthia:
Go to Admin --- > Xanthia --> Configure Xanthia

Far from an expert in MySQL here, but having PN and its add-ons in its own database will make Backing Up the PN part of the site easier than if you have a database with multiple different functions...
