I assume there's a way of adding photos to news articles, hopefully, with a wysiwyg editor
Checked modules and blocks and didn't see anything.
So how do you add an editor -- where is it?

Currently, the core News module in PN does not have a very functional/useful editor. Typetool. Most of us either ignore it or remove it. Generates poor code and lots of problems. (.8 is rumored to be a big improvement in this regard.)
You can add photos to news articles if you go to Admin -> Settings and allow images with attributes.
There are alternative 3rd party modules that can replace the core News module (ContentExpress, Pagesetter).

Please keep in mind that what pheski is only talking about being able to add image tags (HTML) to the articles, not actually uploading them. Unfortunately PN does not have any good way of adding photos to articles, third party or not IMHO. Its very disappointing. Besides that though, its pretty much awesome. =P
