Where API Reference is?  Bottom

  • Hello:
I'm creating a module for PostNuke, but I don't find the API Reference. Somebody knows where is?

    Bye Bye icon_wink
  • The old API docs have disappeared. I cannot find them anywhere. Someone seems to have some grand scheme to update them and bring them back as a Wiki or some such, but nothing has happened yet and it has been many months.

I propose that whomever has them just post them back as static HTML. I am beyond frustrated in trying to create my module without any reference docs to the core API.

Can anyone speak to this? Are the old docs lost? Are folks too busy working on .8?

  • itevoPNAPIDOC might help you out.
  • Here's another un-official pnAPI reference
  • Links to the current phpdoc exports can be found in this wiki page. Links go to a phpdoc batch job run today.

  • Thanks Mark, ...

um .. I may end up looking dumb asking this but ... is there an API reference there somewhere? I can't find it and have clicked everything I could.

I get a lot of information, but not a familiar reference like before that we've come to rely on, a la this quick reference ... am I dumb, blind, or both?

Or maybe...does phpDocumentor not do this?

    Thanks for the links...
  • There is a possibility that we work on a solution combining the Wiki and the phpDoc. Main problem most of us have is that the Wiki must be maintained. The phpDoc doesn't need it and update itself.

We have a draft of a solution but it'll have to wait a few weeks.
  • I have relatively small blocks of time, ie a few hours here and there; if there is some way I can help, let me know. Yeah, I know that will probably limit me to menial tasks as best, but at least know I'm here.

    Thanks for the heads up!
  • Thanks, all of you! That was a big help. I was really stuck with a problem and the API references Alar posted had the nuts of information I needed to figure it out.
