  but I really have to say after this site, I'm almost giddy with delight when using a competing CMS's portal.
  
  I'm sorry to be so blunt but I'd like to see this site put on a developmental server until it is ready. When this new website is ready for prime time, by all means make the conversion at that time. But learning as you go on a live website is really a case study in how not to do it.
  
  Not wanting to leave without a compliment, I'll say...I know that there is a lot of talent here and I know you can do better.

  Performance seems to be pretty good, at least when I am on. What specifically are your issues?

  It was, and it was tested, tho not by as large a test base as I personally would have wanted to see for a project this size. I personally wanted to see a "soft" or beta opening, but that was over-ridden. There's no way to know if it would have helped or not, but at this point, it would probably be detrimental to roll back.

  The site in general seems to be working fast, but there seems to be some kind of issue with the pnForum as it is always loading data very slow for me, well not always but at least a few times per visit I will have to wait an unacceptable amount of time for a page to load.

  For now, load times needs to ignored as far as an issue. There were some problems with the new server so it hasn't been moved yet. I've had a few slow accesses the past 24 hrs, but overall it's doing better.

  I've found the site is usable now, though as you say there are occasional periods which it is useful to avoid. The move to the new server should be completed soon (but of course, we said that before )
