Based on your experiences, which forum do you prefer? PNforum or PNphpBB? I've looked at PNphpBB and it looks pretty good. I'm currently running phpBB on a seperate database, but I'd like to integrate my forums into my new postnuke site. My postnuke site is currently at a temp location and I'll move it when it's ready. Should I install the forums now...or wait until the site is moved to it's new home?
Thanks everyone!

I don't think it is really a question of which is better - more of which does what you want.
PNphpBB2 has been a more robust forum with more features. It requires 4 known security patches available on the PNphpBB site. There have been issues related to the host where the PNphpBB2 support lived that seem solved recently. In addition, after a long quiet period, there is now active work on PNphpBB2.
pnForum version 2.6 works well and is easier to administer but is not as feature rich.
I use them both on different sites and am happy with both.

Howdy Cinka,
I think the answer to your question lies in what you want to do with the site, what type of people the site will cater to and then you need to look at what features you want. Do you want the features of a typical phpbb site? Then go with PNphpBB, if you want a simple forums that integrates better with PostNuke, then use pnForums. They are desigend for different communities and different uses. For my sites I tend to work more with gamers and a lot of really technically savy people, for them they like PNphpBB2 better. Anyways, it all has to do with what your site is for, they are both good.

That really doesn't matter. I would suggest getting it all working first, then depending upon the access you have to the new server either zip all your files, upload the single zipped file and then unzip on the server or just upload them all already unzipped (will take a LOOOONNNNNGGGGGG time) and then the Database transfer. Hopefully you have phpmy admin installed, just use the export feature and export your entire table (I normally do it without the "Create Table" part added in) then again depending upon how your new server has MySQL access, you'll either have to do an import using a tool like phpMyAdmin or if you have console access then you'll have to do it that way. But as far as which way will work better, I'd say they are both the same. It's all personal preference.
For myself though, I tend to set everything up on the test server first and then transfer everything to the server. Mainly because if I mess something up and want to start from scratch during my site development and setup, it's a lot easier to start over with a fresh install with full access than it is with partial.

Chasm
Exessive use of the MultiHook features is something is something I don't want so miss. You'll understand once this site implements the MultiHook too.
I managed to get PNphpBB2 to use MultiHook with only a few small changes to the PNphpBB2 files - see http://www.pnphpbb.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&p=28824#28824
