We need a XBox Gamertag Block/Module  Bottom

  • I seen one for PHP-Nuke. Now if we could get a up-graded version for PostNuke would be great. Anyone?
  • Spitfire,

Can you link to the specific block you are talking about?

    Thanks,

Here is a link to the download, its the 3rd one down...

Would be nice not only to random display a member's Gamertag in a block, but to have a firend request button for it also. Who knows what can be done with the powers of PostNuke and XBox's Gamertag system.

  • Has anyone had any luck with this?
  • Did you actually look at this yourself?

The original link you posted is dead but I obtained a copy from another source. The block merely outputs some HTML (an iframe sourced to an xbox site).

For PostNuke use an HTML block with the same HTML source - no need for a specially code block.

  • The link worked for me, there was two Gamertag downloads in that link. Also, no I did not look at these. Didn't think I would understand them if I did. Now that you mentioned what they did, could a better module be made for Postnuke? In the mean time, I may try some HTML coding too. Just not sure how to get it to display the current users that are logged in. Also, to have an option for a easy click to add them to your friends list.
  • Given the simplicty of the rerefenced blocks then i've no doubt that someone with the interest could created something much more useful. Personally i've no interest - my gaming interests are limited to football manager and civilisation on the PC.

Seems like an excellent and simple enough project for someone for someone to learn PN development with.

Sure wish I had the time to learn a new skill. I hope a XBox Gamer/PN Developer sees this! :P
