I was just updating my firefox extensions and it made me think - wouldn't it be nice if I could do something similar with my postnuke sites and their modules and blocks?
Is this even feasible/do-able? It certainly would make updating and keeping up with security/bug fixes more user friendly!

This topics comes up every now and then.
Main problem is that the webserver needs write access to your PN installation for this which we consider as being basically dangerous.
Right now we have another elegant solution in development, stay tuned

Judging by your first response to my enquiry, I would have to surmise that it is an offline (not on the website server) gadget of sorts. But then that's not PN's realm, so really I have no idea!
