Static_Docs is for pages already made. which you can upload.
htmlpages is a module that just shows a nice page, made in HTML. What's to be done is: you make a new entry in the htmlpages admin, en copy'n'paste the HTML in there. Only a little thing, and im not sure if it's updated, but in version 1.1 there's no button to add a page.
In this thread is the URL to call to add a new entry. -

Dont understand, what is the difference between Static_Docs and htmlpages?
Can you please explain a bit more? To me it seems they do the same. The only difference is that with the
first you have already a page, and with the htmlpages you build it on the fly. Is that it? Cos if it is the only
difference then you could always use one or the other, cos it could just be question of cut and paste.
And if it is just question of cut and paste, what is the most stable module? -

Well, if you have like a how-to or a guide made in HTML, upload this into a directory of Static_Docs. You can see if in action to your left. The documentation in Development Resources are in Static_Docs. Takes up 1 minute to set it up.
Or you could add 1 page at a time in htmlpages and copy'n'paste the HTML, and you need to change ALL links to the other pages. Takes up about a month of your time.
Static_Docs uses content that's on disk, htmlpages stores its pages in the database.
I have made 2 pages up in htmlpages, and they're not related to eachother. When it comes to a complete document, multiple pages, use Static_Docs.
Hope this explains enough for ya ;)
