Is there such an thing out there where you can warn a user. So if you see a post or just want to warn someone you can click there name and give them a warning?
I'm using PN .762 and pnphpbb.
I'm guessing a pnphpbb mod would be better but a postnuke mod would also work here.
Man it would really be nice for PN to have a fourm build it :)

You can always use the PM system. But then, its upto the user to pick up his PM.

Would something like this work for you?
- 1. Create group called 'Warning' and move the to-be-warned person(s) into it
- 2. Set priviledges for this group so that ALL they see when they log onto the site is an administrative message that says: You have been naughty and as Site-Mom I am taking this opportunity no let you know that we do expect our users to adhere to blah blah blah...Click the link here to let us know if you wish to remain a member of our community..
- 3. Link goes to a simple email form (e.g., from Formicula) where they say yes or no that they will behave and notifies you.
- 4. Upon receipt of this you move them back into their usual grouop.
<disclaimer>Haven't done this. Just speculating.</disclaimer>

LoL Site mom...haha
Man that would be a lot of messing around in permissions which is a section i realy hate!
There should be an extra or a plug in so that you can see the users warn rating. That way other members that are botherd by the pain in the arse can see your not putting up with this nob heads behaviour.
Any way just a thought, also i was gona put it forward too the phpbb2 group but it looks like a dying module to me :(

All the more reason to play with it... <grin>
But it'd be a once-off "mess around". Then it's just slapping people into the "Warnings" group.</grin> -

So, let me get this straight, you want a button on the post, like we have profile, PM, email, www, quote, edit here, but that button would be for admin only, like the delete & ip, that would send a warning to the user, via PM?

No what we mean is a warn rate bar underneath there details, that goes from 0% too 50%
So it would be like this as a user in the forums eg, Name, pnhelper, posts, warn rate.
I dont know if that helps you..lol but you must have seen what i mean a lot of the free web froums have them already built in so it cant be too hard?

Never seen it on any of the forums I use, so it must not be a default on feature. I may be able to do something that would hook in to pnForum/EZComments, but since PNphpBB2 isn't API comliant, I can't do anything there. But first I have a couple of jobs I gotta get done, one for sure, one I've gotta get more info to bid on.
