I've been searching far and wide for a reviews that worked that did what I wanted to do, which was to have categories in the reviews section. I found out that Prodreviews does that. Since then, I found that there has been no one updating this file or if they use it, not updating Postnuke at all to make sure they can still use it. All info is dated back in 2004 or something, and I've joined about 6 international sites to find a possible solution for this.
Basicaly, there's a modded version (0.4.2?) that wil work with Postnuke 7.5.0, and finding that was a fluke - it was a personal hack from someone since the people that built this thing have dissapeared entirely. I discovered PN just a few months ago, and I've totally shelled my site out the way I want it. I'm trying to convert a 350+ page deep site in HTML into the wonders of the mySQL databases, and found that postnuke was free, changeable, and had the power to do what I wanted to do.
Bottom line - Is there a ProdReviews that works with 761 or 762? or even anything before 750? Is there a Reviews section that can have categories that is 7.6.1 happy? If so, I desperately need it, and I appreciate ANY help anyone out there can give me.
If not, I'm going to be throwing away my site and starting over in version 7.5.0 (which took a day or 2 to find as well.) I'm currently running 7.6.1, and aside of having a modules in my modules which I need to get rid of, EVERYTHING else is fine, except this Prodreviews delima. One problem at a time...
I'm going to be dumping well over 1500 reviews into this mod, and will be keeping it fed at a rate of possibly 200 a month to be added. I need categories... please help.

<disclaimer>I'm not sure this would meet your needs, but I think you might look and see.</disclaimer>
Consider Pagesetter with Folder and TopicAccess from elfisk.dk
Good luck
Oh, and you really *don't* want to degrade to .75. And .762 fixes a few annoying glitches in .761.

Is this 0.42 version you are reffering the one on Downloads at http://www.vedrine.net ?
I am running this version with no problem under PostNuke .762.
As you said it's only a personal hack but my website downloads section is full of "personal hacks" and some visitors seems to like them judging by the number of downloads.
If you have any problem with my version, just report it here or in my support forums and I will (try to) fix it
I rarely use it so I can only find bugs if users report them.
As I have already said, my intention is to support this version until .8 is released and after that provide ProdReviews users with a migration path to the core Reviews module when it will use golbal PostNuke categories.
This is the reason why I don't rewrite ProdReviews and only do small fixes when a bug is discovered.
The other reason why I don't recode ProdReviews is that I have a lot of other modules to take care of.
Alos note that I titally agree with pheski when he say that you should consider Pagesetter and TopicAccess

Ok - installed everything properly, double checked everything, The Prodreviews admin page worked after turning it on in the modules section, and I even put a review in after putting all my categories in. I clicked on the preview link to review the interview on the index.php page in ProdReviews - my install HAS NO INDEX.PHP IN THE PRODREIEWS. White page. nothing. The guts work, but no index.php exists in the download I got from your site. This was the problem before - I thought the page was "created" from code? appearantly not. Everything else works if directly accessed. there is NO main page to link to, to view, or to edit. it simply does not exist.
I downloaded the zip, extracted it, FTP'd it up, even carefully placed the prodreviews.php in the includes/search/ section. Then I went to modules, installed it, activated it, admin-ed it, added categories, hunted down an interview, added a review, ok'ed it, and went to view it from the main page.... POOF. no page.
What is missing? What am I doing wrong? why is there a white page? what happened to the index.php that's supposed to be in ProdReviews? I found one in "old-Stuff" but it didn't work either. HELP. Thanks.
This is where it links '.com/lfbsite/index.php?module=ProdReviews' - there is only white. there is NO index.php. this is my 2nd 12+hr day working on this problem ONLY and my second full week working on "issues" with 761, 750 and 762. I'm now upgraded to 762, and that took too long, now with this one module hitting about 35 hours of dealing with, I'm kinda shaky and don't want to miss anything. I even had a capacitor blow in my monitor during an upload - had to swap monitors.... at wits end. please help. Thanks for all advice so far! this is the only thing holding my site from relaunching. thanks.
One thing - I noticed your pages goto a "module-modulename.html" - ??? is this another helper module that I'm missing? ANY input is welcome, and my last deadline is in one week from today. Thanks again for all your help. -

Hello,
As ProdReviews is a new style module, it's quite normal it doesn't have an index.php file.
For your Blank Page problem, I think there was an incorrect lang file in my revious zip, so I made a new one.
Doing a file compare between the file used on my website and the ones on Download, I discovered that I fixed more bugs on my website but forgot to include these fixes in the Downloads so I made a new .43 release including all these fixes.
No real new features but a lot of small changes
- [*:d0a50cd29f]get rid of legacy functions (mainly BuidSimpleQuery) so I think the module can now run without legacy support
- [*:d0a50cd29f]corrected most urls so that output is Valid HTML
- [*:d0a50cd29f]prevent visitors from seeing reviewer's mail
- [*:d0a50cd29f]added missing lang defines
- [*:d0a50cd29f]verified that all files don't have anything after the final ?>

Haven't you read the thread?
jmvedrine is saying he does not do any updates on the module. Only to fix bugs.
Hope that answers your question :P -

Notice about that...
I mean, since original author has abandoned this module, is there anyone who is continuing to develop this module?
