XML-RPC updated  Bottom

  • Hi all,

I've been searching for a working xmlrpc module since the original was taken out of the pnCore. I found one on the pnNoc but its outdated (a year old).
Is there a mod out there that will enable me to use softs such as WB Editor 2, W.Bloggar or even BlogJet to post news to my PN site.

All I need to do is to be able to :
    - Post news with title
    - Choose cat and topic
    - Seperate extended and full text

Now these programs all saw they are compatible with PN but it seems the XMLRPS mod I found just can't deal with em.

    Thanks in advance,

PHPXMLRPC or derivative versions are used in many open source projects, including Ampache, Xaraya, Drupal (only up to releases 4.6.2 and 4.5.4), PostNuke, b2evolution, nucleus CMS, phpmyfaq, phpPgAds, phpgroupware, egroupware, TikiWiki, Civicspace (old release only) and MailWatch for MailScanner.

It seems that a new version of phpxmlrpc has come out.
The 1st version powered postnuke but now that the 2.0 RC3 wasreleased on January 22 there are no longer any security issues.

How complicated would it be to update the old xmlrpc module to this version ?
  • Anyone ?
  • I'm part the way through a new xmlrpc module that uses a different library but this won't be available for a while. I've not tried updating the old module with the new phpxmlrpc code - give it a go and find out.

  • I've only given this some very preliminary testing but grab an updated version of the xmlrpc module from the pnwebservices NOC project.

    New in this version is

    1) phpxmlrpc updated to v2.0rc3
    2) automatic loading of multiple xmlrpc API's (via modules/xmlrpc/api) i.e. new xmlrpc functions can be published by dropping a suitable API definition into this diretory
    3) some minor code tidying and bug fixes
