    Guys and Gals....

    I REALLY need some help with something called a cron job !!???????

    Ok...... I have a PHP mysql game installed on one of my web hosting services.

    The game needs to add and subtract values (example - i buy a house, it takes money from my total or..... It takes 5 mins to build a house and the program is supposed to countdown until complete - am sure you know what i mean)

    My hosting provider (as i know nothing about cron jobs) gave me this code to enter into my cpanel:

    /usr/bin/php -f /home/xxxxxx/public_html/xxxxx/ticker.php


    Of course, there is a file called ticker.php uploaded and the values of various things to be bought, sold and created are entered into this file.

    Would someone PLEASE help me with this as it doesnt work. Everything is setup ok, but this damn thing isnt working. The game is useless if it cant add, subtract and create etc

    Please help !!!!!

    Do you have ssh access to the server? If so, can you run the script manually to make sure there aren't any errors? Also, check the permissions on the file to make sure it is executable.
