A crazy debuggin system.  Bottom

    pnphpbb 1.2h-RC3b
installed on my site for a while and was working fine. When I updated the postnuke to .762, many of the modules stopped workign and then I decided restoring the old postnuke 7.50 and restored my databases through phpMyAdmin.
After restoration, once again some of the modules stopped working such as the ecard 1.5 module, and pncpopupmessage module. I don't know what might have caused them not to work? When i moved to the old version of postnuke. I removed all the files and deleted the entire mysql database then proceeded with the restoration from the backup files.

Here today, I have a critical problem with pnphpbb. It was working fine for few days, now in certain topics. It displays a message "error on this page" at the bottom of the page. You can see it in the bottom picture.

Ok but when it displays the problem, now I can not highlight the texts, or when it highlight, it does partially. Like quickly highlighting and then it stops, so I can't highlight really where I want. It is like a pause or a break.

I also found these bugs when I turned the debug mode in the pnphpbb config.

    Code

This is debug info. Used to find/fix problems when configuring cache.
    Template variables
    {TEMPLATE} modules/PNphpBB2/templates/PNTheme/
    {PHP} index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=php&sid=2c9bb3fd534e6f5e09ed64c51f5d4ee5&
    {TEMPLATE_NAME} PNTheme
    {LANG} english

The above line where it says "names=PnphpBB&fine..... If I run that after my site name http://www.whateversite.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=PHP&sid=2c9bb3fd534e6f5e09ed64c51f5d4ee5&

    It will say

This wasn't saying the "everything seems to be ok" until I changed the chmode to 777 yesterday.

    Here is one more.

    Code

    Template filename: modules/PNphpBB2/templates/PNTheme/admin/_admin_xs_test.tpl
    (/home/james19/public_html/modules/PNphpBB2/templates/PNTheme/admin/_admin_xs_test.tpl)
    Cache filename: modules/PNphpBB2/cache/PNTheme/admin/_admin_xs_test.php
    (/home/james19/public_html/modules/PNphpBB2/cache/PNTheme/admin/_admin_xs_test.php)
Debug data: Opened file "modules/PNphpBB2/cache/PNTheme/admin/_admin_xs_test.php" for writing. Everything seems to be ok.

I appreciate your help. Thanks for everything in Advane.
The pnphpbb site is down at the moment, that is why I submitted this thread here.

  • The first "bug" you posted doesn't look really look like a bug. :? The URL ends with an ampersand so I suppose it isn't complete...

The second problem doesn't sound very strange either. If I'm not mistaken the cache needs to writable by the server just like pnTemp needs to be writable for pnRender to work.

So how about a link to your site or a screenprint of one of the messages? icon_smile

  • The first picture is the screenshot of the website, showing the error message in that corner.
