  Heya
  
  i think it would be an amazing touch if users would be able to upload a few photos on their profile page and then have others users able to see them ... i manage a community based site and alot of my users are complaining about not being able to put faces to the names ...
  
  something i guess like friendfinder or zpersonals that actually works or just simply make it part of postnukes user profiles ... i cant imagine it to be such a mission i just wouldnt know where to start ...

  That is actually on my own list of projects for the site I'm currently setting up. No were near the top of my list yet but I believe it should be achievable using pnUpper and Advanced Profiles modules. I've seen something like this done by MacSCR hopefully he'll shed some light here too.

  I am actually working on a pnForum theme that uses the Avatar space for a picture of the user with a talk bubble look for the post. :)

  i just think the user profile is dull and in comparison to the rest of the sites features i find it wierd ... surely by now it should have evolved a bit to include more functions ... i can do basic PHP however i cant figure out where to start even when it comes to modifying postnuke.

  The users profile hasn't really evolved because the code is a bit of a mess. That's why in .8 it's completely replaced with a better coded alternative in the profile module.

  For those wanting more with .76 flavors, try pnAvatar coupled with advprofile. advprofile is a very customizable profile - with plugins to show all kinds of users contributions to the site.
