I'm running 726 and upgraded my PHP from 4.2.2 to 4.4.1 and now i'm locked out of my admin account. I purposely deactivated user registration previously, and logged into admin by going to user.php clicking 'Login', and using my admin login to gain access to the admin pages on my site.
Now when I click the 'Login' link on the user page the page just refreshes and nothing happens. I have checked other PN 726 installations on the same server after the PHP upgrade and I can login fine to those sites (registration never disabled).
- -How can I manually reenable the registration process through the MySQL DB?
- -Or how do I login to admin some other way?
- -Or can I somehow disable the checking of whether the user registration is enabled or not by commenting some lines in the actual PHP pages of the registration system?

HST,
You can change it in the DB if your using something like phpMyAdmin. Look in the module_vars table, it's in on of the pnconfig rows.
You can also try this:
http://www.YOURSITE.…RPASS&url=index.php
I just tried it and it works but I'm nor certain it will work for your problem.
Hope that helps.
Best Regards

If you are running .726 you should upgrade as a matter of urgency. Such an old version has many security vulnerabilities and you're missing out on a lot of features.

Yeah, I understand that, but to upgrade, I need to to be able to login as admin.
Thanks for the hints denisrf. I actually was able to enable the registration on the site, but was still unable to login as admin.
Could this be a PHP setting that I'm just overlooking? -

It's unlikely to be the user registration setting that's causing your problem. Try reuploading user.php in the root, and also modules/NS-User

Thanks for your help hammerhead, but that didn't work either.
I have even tried an upgrade and that's not working either. All I get on that is "Problem with DataBase Connection" on the index page.
