Hi:
It is a shame. I too tried to install no luck. Unfortunately a dead module... We need a virtual cards module.
Have posted at dev site and sent email to him, no response...

Hi:
I even posted a Module Request (Sendcard.org):
http://mods.postnuke.com/Article2669.html
This is an PHP script that seems promising, but the problem is to get the involvement of a Developer and making a small fund could help. At least, a token for a dev time and effort.

Hi:
Well after browsing sendcard.org site, here is a link to questions and answers re integration within PostNuke:
http://www.sendcard.org/forum/search.php?f=1&search=PostNuke&globalsearch=0&match=1&date=0&fldsubject=1&fldbody=1
There may be a way, maybe with HTML or includes, but don't have time right know to test. A PN compliant-module from sendcard is the best option IMO. But in the short-term a hack/mod could do the job.

Hi Again:
Well the sendcard file includes a phpnuke install doc. Please note this is a PHPNUKE mod/hack:
___________
___________Quote
Installing sendcard a a PHP-Nuke module
PLEASE NOTE: This is still experimental
Congratulations! You have made a very good choice of e-card script for your website
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~ Installation ~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Extract the contents of the archive to some directory.
When you extracted the archive you will have seen a directory called "options"
Under here there is a folder called PHP-Nuke with some files that you must use
to replace the default ones in the sendcard folder.
These files are:
index.php - replaces index.php in the sendcard directory
admin/modules/sendcard.php - place this in PHP-Nuke's admin directory - it's supposed
to give you direct access to sendcard's administration area (but doesn't seem to be
working).
templates/card.tpl
templates/form.tpl - both replace the default templates. The difference
with this form.tpl is that the paths have
modules/sendcard/ prepended.
Once you have done all the above you are ready to start installing sendcard.
Upload the folder sendcard/ and all subfolders/files to the modules
directory. So you will end up with the admin folder at
http://yourdomain/modules/sendcard/admin
This is an important link to remember, as I cannot find how to get this
link to appear in PHP-Nuke's administration area.
If you are on a Unix/Linux/FreeBSD server chmod the files sendcard.php,
sendcard_setup.php, admin/config.php, admin/plugins/<all files="files"> and
include/lang/<all files="files"> to 666 (that is, rw-rw-rw) so that the web server
can write to them. To do this, you must either use your FTP program
and do each file manually, or if you have ssh access to your server
you can use the script chmod.php to do it for you. Run it via the
command line:
% PHP -q ./chmod.php
Go to http://yourdomain/modules/sendcard/admin/index.php and log in using the
password:
password
Click on the link for the installation wizard.
1) Check that the paths on the
administration configuration page are correct. My settings look like the
following:
Directory you installed sendcard in:
modules/sendcard/
Full path to directory you installed sendcard in:
http://yourdomain/modules/sendcard/
Full system path:
/system/path/to/public_html/modules/sendcard/
Change your password!
2) Change the default settings. Most of this is self-explanatory. However,
there is one option that you *must* change to get sendcard working with
PHP-Nuke.
Change the web address of the sendcard directory from:
http://yourdomain/sendcard/
to
http://yourdomain/ (assuming PHP-Nuke is installed in the root of your site)
Change the paths to the templates/music/images (under advanced options) by
prepending "modules/sendcard/" to each of the paths.
Once you have made the above changes and set the other options on that page
you can create the tables in your database. However, before you send
yourself a congratulatory e-card you also need to bring up the "Translation"
page.
On the "Translation" page, change all the references to "index.php" to
"modules.php?name=sendcard"
Now we need to activate the module. Log into the administration area of
PHP-Nuke and go to the modules section. Click on the "Activate" link next to
sendcard. You may also like to change the name used in the menu's link to
something other than "sendcard". To do this, click on the "Edit link" and
enter your own title.
Everything is now done! Send yourself a test card and let your visitors enjoy using sendcard.
If you get stuck, don't forget the support forum at
http://www.sendcard.org/forum/. Please search the forum before posting
your question - I get fed up answering the same questions again and
again.
Full documentation on customizing sendcard can be found at
http://www.sendcard.org/documentation/</all></all>
The key is to change references from index.php to -> modules.php?op=modload&name=sendcard&file=index
index.php will be something like:
Quote
I will post later when I tried it. But IF it works with PHPNUKE it should with PostNuke. Admin will be separate from PostNuke tou... you can access it through /modules/sendcard/admin
Also, you need to provide protection to that dir
Well, have to go to the ThanksGiving Family Activity. Talk later...

Hello,
Are you speaking of the eCards 1.5 PostNuke module ? If yes well maybe it is not quite dead.
I liked very much this module and at some moment I had the project to use it on www.vedrine.net so that users can send fish and corals postcards. Unfortunately I needed to integrate photoshare to the module and I never finished the job !!
But I have somewhere a modified version that I am sure will run under PostNuke 0.7.6.1 because I fixed:
- use of $prefix global
- all vars not passed to pnVarCleanFromInput (so it should now run even with register globals off)
- incorrect test about direct access to files
The result is only a partial fix and would require additionnal work and unfortunately I am very busy for the moment.
But I installed it on a .761 test site and seems to send postcards OK
If anobody volunteer to test and send me bugs reports, I can put it on download.
I will also send a mail to Olivier (the eCards developper) but last time i received a mail from him he too had problem with too much work.

Hi:
Well, tell where is the download and I will do what I am used to: test and report bugs or problems!. Thanks Jmvedrine! Maybe in the near future this could be ANOTHER PN module 'rescued' by you!

Hello,
you can find the current state of my work here : http://www.vedrine.n…nloads/ecards15.zip
Things that are working:
- the module now works with PostNuke .761 even with register global OFF
- the module wotks with short urls activated
- most pages are (nearly) HTML 4.01 compliant but still some work to do !!
- sound is working with firefox and IE if you have the proper plugin installed
- mp3 sound files are now supported
- You can use photoshare as gallery. See in docs/whatsnew.txt to learn how to do it. Currently you need some HTML and PHP skills to do it !!
Things that are known NOT to work
- the slideshow in templates/galery-page.php is currently broken. I'm not good at Javascript coding. I will see if I can fix it. In the meantime use another template for your index page (change the line $t->set_file(array("mainpage" => "gallery_page.php")); in the modules/cards/index.php file)
Report other problems to vedrine __AT__ vedrine __DOT__ net directly.

Hi:
Sent an email, after fixing file permissions installation went fine. Sound seems to not be working tou.
eCards is working very nicely. Completely functional (except the sound) so far.
What about trying the JavaScript with an include? Separating it from the PHP page. Dunno just a guess... or a function within the JS...
Something like:
or...
