Hello,
If you are running PostNuke .761 can you please try the modified version downloadable here http://www.vedrine.n…-2-newlang-eng.html and see if you still have the same problem.
Modified blocks are also available on the same page.
I suggest to uninstall the previous version and install the new one.
Don't forget to follow the (strange) install instructions.

cant get it to install from here down? still not working........thanks
Run 'modules.php?op=modload&name=PN_zClassifieds&file=install' to create database
Give the database informations : host, name, user, password, postnuke prefix and follow the steps
DELETE INSTALL.PHP, UPGRADE.PHP!
Change the configuration in administration (admin.php?module=PN_zClassifieds&op=config)
any easier classifieds to use? -

For PostNuke .761 (will NOT work with previous versions) I have nearly finished pntables.php and pninit.php files that make PN_zClassifieds behave as a real PostNuke module for initialization and removal (no more install.php or delete.php just initialize and activate :) )
I think that I can finish these files for tomorrow. Are you interested in testing these ? if yes just send me a private mail with your mail address.

Is there a system, like á la Ebay, so people can actually bid more? I did a quick search, but nothing actually came up...
Should it be difficult to implement, or not?
Thx, Igor -

Unfortunately I don't have time to do that but it's a wonderfull idea.
If I had to do that I would rather do it with Pagesetter than dive in the PN_zClassifieds spagetti code ...
Modify modules from this (old) period (Downloads, Web_Links, books, zClassifieds, PN_zClassifieds, ...) is a real pain.
Today's way of coding modules is completely different.
Have you done a seach for 'auctions' on the forums ?

yes I did, I even tried to follow up the pnAuction module, but I guess it died as quickly as it came up...
I know someone is trying to implement it in [PN]phpBB, but I know of experience that some people are just scared when they see a Forum...

Oe... I like that... I have some experience with Pagesetter, could you give me some directions which pop in your head how you would do that?
Sounds difficult, ex. when someone bids higher.... etc... Pagesetter's permissions is voor the "$tid", not for some parts.... of your pub type... hardcoded maybe.... inlineLists??
hmmmm
thx in advance,

well that was only an idea, not sure that I saw all the potential problems
- one publication type to submit items with starting price, pictures, description, categorie (handled with Pagesetter lists)
- one other publication type to submit bids (Pagesetter has now a field to store the item publication id you bid on. The workflow for this publication type would be very special, taking care of ending time for instance and rejecting all bids after this time
- the hishest bid would be displayed in the item page by a pnRender plugin and a link will display all bids for this item in chronological order.
- a kind of cron job of maybe MarkWest scheduler module would PM the bidders various messages as PayPal do

I don't have a lot of time but I can certainly contribute vith small plugins like and
Don't underestimate the work needed to do the workflow for the bids publication type because new operations will most probably be needed but here also I can help.

I'll set up something... and think about it a little more how to proceed, or how I'd see it... maybe others can contribut too...
thx for your offer so far!

Just checking around and wondering if anything happened regarding this auction using Pagesetter? I have a sudden need for an auction module. -
