Theme width  Bottom

  • Hopefully this is the correct place for me to post this, I apologize if it is not.

I have a Xanthia theme that I am using and all is going well. I then installed PNphpbb2 and the forum display is all messed up.

I am thinking it may be due to the fact that the theme I am using is an 80% wide theme? (is that how you would describe it?).

I have been looking through the theme files but I can not find anything that would allow me to change this to a 100% theme.

Here is the link to the site normally
    http://www.carefreecandles.com

And here is a link to show what the forum looks like
    http://www.carefreec…&file=viewtopic&t=1

I am hoping that if I can figure out how to make the theme a 100% theme that it will work better.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Thanks in advance
  • It's not messed up but what you'd expect from this setup. The theme your using is a blog theme (my port of one of the gemini wordpress templates). It's not designed to be a theme for all purposes and certianly not for running a full forum like pnphpbb. The theme is designed for someone running a blog style site.

I'm sure the themes HTML can probably be reworked to 100% so take a look at the theme template(s). You'll need some (x)HTML and CSS knowledge for this though - otherwise use a theme suitable for the purpose of your site.

The post should be directed to either my site or the 3rd party themes forum since the core themes forum is for themes shipped with postnuke - i've moved this thread approapriately.

  • Hey Mark,

I think he's using the one I converted, since I named is xDaisyRaeGemini and looking at your site you just used Gemini. But I suggested he download your version to see if it makes a difference. :)

Croman, you can always post questions to the http://www.designs4n….php?module=pnForum to get support too.

With regard to changing to 100% width I'll take a look and post back what I find. If you get to it before me then please post your findings too.

    Regards,

    Vanessa

  • Vanessa,

Good spot - possibly.. I didn't realise you'd ported that version of gemini. I'd rolled all of the gemini variants into one theme. Given they'll all the same base HTML I doubt using my version will be any different. The main problem is that these themes are designed fixed width for blog style sites.
