New PHP Block ?  Bottom

  • Guys,

I have some PHP code that i would like to use to display some information via mysql query from my database.

Am i right in saying that all i need to do is this:

    1. Create new block (i am choosing a PHP block from the list)
    2. paste the PHP code into the white blank area
    3. It then displays the NAME i gave the PHP block and when i click the link.....it shows a parse error...

Anyone know if what i have done is correct and if it is, then WHY do i get a parse error ???

PLEASE help..... I have been trying this on and off for weeks now !!!!!! icon_redface
  • If you're including the opening and closing PHP tags with your PHP code, that will cause an error. Other than that, maybe post your PHP for inspection?
  • aha... didnt realise that. I will give that a go and let you know :)
  • MAN... why has no-one else ever told me this ????.... I have only been waiting 5months to get this sorted !!!!

LOL......... I got it working and am chuffed to bits. Thank you VERY MUCH for such a simple piece of advice. I certainly wont forget it. :)

No problem. I think in many cases, the answer simply lies in asking the right questions. ;) ... 5 months worth of waiting huh?!

    ...donations accepted!
