Hi people!

I just installed PHP 4.4.0 and saw there were some errors like this one:

Notice: Only variables should be assigned by reference in ... on line 17

(... is the path of the conflicting file)

Browsing a bit around I found that's because of a bug fix on latest PHP version, which was affecting too adodb. To upgrade it, I simply downloaded latest stable version of adodb and unpacked it on pnadodb folder of PostNuke.

Everything seems to work finely but it could be cool if some of the developers can confirm me that it was the right action to do.

What version of PostNuke are you using?

Plus, if the installation of PHP 4.4 is a production environment, you can (and probably should) turn down error reporting to remove notices.

Finally, that should be fine, but I vaguely remember Andreas saying a small change had to be made to adodb for PostNuke

don't ask about notices... i would remove them but i'm not allowed to do that

in any case seems like it works... if you manage to remember that small change don't doubt in telling me, but it shouldn't be very important as you just remember it "vaguely"

There is at least one issue with the PostNuke 0.750 code (not adodb) with PHP 4.40. The only version of PN tested under PHP 4.40 is .760.

And which issue is it?
Sorry about appearing so disperse but there is SO many documentation that I don't know where to look for it. I tried using the search function but looking for 4.4.0 for example produces a search for 4 4 0 which is not very useful.

To be honest I can't remember the specfics - you'd have to look back throught cvsnotices.postnuke.com. The point is the only supported version is .760.
