are you refering to a new installation or an update? in case of update do you read the docs about the recommended procedure?

    thanks for the reply,

This is a new installation. I have two websites; one running 750 and I wanted to test 760 on the other before I update both. When I run 750 on it, it installs fine, but as soon as I try 760 it gets stuck. What major change in code that coould cause this? but am sure the problem is probably me. I have redownload the files, tar, zip, no luck. I tried the installation from windows, from SuSE Linux, not that it really matters, but no luck. From what i hear 760 is a step up even from 750 so am really anxxious. please help me. I don't know if it has nething to do my host though.

Would it be best if I install 750 and update to 760?

    Hello,

I have the same problem on a clean install.

After the last page of installation (with the bloc error), I do :
    - I delete install.php and install folder
    - I go directely to http://www.mysite.com/admin.php
    - I create manualy all the blocs (the table is empty in database)
    - I create security settings on groups and users (empty too)
    - I logout

Now, i can use my website... but it is very slow... i don't know if it is my providers or if my PostNuke have somes bug because of the bad installation.

can you try and say to me if your website works corectly after that...

    Thanks,

    Garou

I did what you explained above before I posted the first post, but my view is there is something else wrong somewhere if it wont install successfully. The server I use is slow so I dont know if this will be a good experiment. Also, I am kinda lazy creating blocks, and perms. I may end up doing it your way if everything else fails. You know it could be the way our host configured the server. What host are you on?
