PHPnuke is baseline. PostNuke is better but how much better depends upon you. I would leave PHPnuke and look seriously at Drupal, Mambo and Typo3. PostNuke is much better than PHPnuke and may be exactly what you need but it's got serious issues which is why I suggest you take a look at the other 3 before making a decision.

That's not an answer to such strong claims. If you're going to make such claims then you should at the very least share specifics with us so we can investigate the issues.

All the CMSs you mentioned are certainly interesting options. Have you ever used, installed, or customized any or all of the three CMSs you mention? I have used and installed each.

I can't speak from a specific comparison POV because that's an article itself but ALL of them have quirks with respect to customization, usabilty, and learning curves. In the end you have to make a decision based on your needs, your level of comfortablity with respect to using and customizing the packages.

I would agree you should take a look at the other packages but again your suggestion that PostNuke has "serious" issues without substantiating your claims is not fair. If you have specific issues or points point them out. If not then its a personal opinion or bias.

PostNuke software is constantly improving and constructive feedback is always welcome.

This topic has been discussed extensively on the boards and you may find our users haven't looked back, meaning when we use PostNuke then we don't compare/contrast the features PHP-Nuke offers. If you're asking why people use PN and PHP-Nuke from a philosphical level I'm sure you'll get a different answer.

With respect to the PHP-Nuke users sharing their vision, well not sure what you mean since PHP-Nuke users don't have a voice or way to influence the code since the project has closed development. In my personal opinion the software isn't taken seriously or wouldn't be considered for a high profile project because of the issues. Again, PHP-Nuke has its place in the world and good luck to all those using it.

In the future you will see a chart comparing/contrasting the feature set for each product then these posts can be pointed in the right direction.

That's not an answer to such strong claims. If you're going to make such claims then you should at the very least have something to back it up with.

I do not want to argue or change the thread because the issues are discussed often here. I try to tell the truth. It is not good for greenday2k to see everything good and no bad. PostNuke is good but it has bad too. Mambo, Drupal, Typo3 have bad but they are good too. greenday2k must look at everything to decide. You agree PHPnuke is no good I think.

RacerX, Vanessa's point is that you're making strong claims but not backing them up. We'll be the first to admit that PostNuke isn't perfect and it's also not for everyone. We'd just like to know what "serious issues" or "Dysfunctional issues" you have in mind. Otherwise, you're just trolling.

I have tried both PostNuke and phpnuke. I tried phpnuke first and PostNuke second. In the end I decided to go with PostNuke and I have no regrets about it at all.

The support has been great I've even had a member personally take time out of his day to walk me through a few things. The page is looking good and I haven't had any major problems.
