i guess developers have a lot of friends and they don't need to rely in 'unknown' people when travelling,
but just in case, i consider it as an option which could be good maybe.
What is spend at hotel for pnmeeting could be donated straight to devs(maybe this is done already, IDK..), it could ease devs tours (also as a way to know each other apart of on the pnmeeting, better recognising of their work), etc..
BTW hc is in my favourite's site top 10..
