Looking for Guild Modules  Bottom

  • Can someone PLEASE help me find some guild management modules for postnuke. Ideally I'm looking for something I can use as a guild roster, a guild bank, even registration, dkp or any guild related module for POSTNUKE.

Like every module I find is for PHP-NUKE and i don't want to use it because i'm biased...hehe

I'm going to be using them for World of Warcraft but any everquest module or generic module will do. Thanks for any help guys.
  • I recently released a beta port of RosterMaster (psotNuke)http://mods.postnuke…download-sid-4.html, which is a guildroster for EQ2 that parses Sony's site information and allows users to claim/associate to the characters.

Not sure if WOW has the same sort of thing but if it does all you'd need to do is rework the parsing part.

I have a new version almost ready for release that allows for optional fields being displayed etc.

Also I have been giving serioius consideration to putting together a decent guild managment module for postnuke, but in all honesty that will be a month or so till I have the time to go at it.

Let me know of the roster is useful at all to you.

  • What I'd like to see is a module that is an extension of the members list per se. I imagine a table that is a child relationship to the users table...each user has records in this table, one for each character they play...this will allow for primary characters and alt characters, or cross-game support. I imagine several customizeable fields or hard coding the fields for thing slike professions, possessions, factions, levels, etc..

I don't know enough PHP to do this though, but I do know how to program so I can think it up and know how it woudl implement...but writing it would require help....anyone?
  • Greetings mates...

I am looking for a current version of Roster Master and EQDKP for POSTNuke... I find versions for PHPNuke but I really do not wish to go to PHPNuke...

Every link I have tried in these support forums are no longer valid dead links...

    Any help is much appreicated.

By the way I am installing the latest version of PN on my site so hopefully there will be updated versions of modules that I can use...

I am created the site for an EverQuest 2 guild if that helps..

    Regards,
  • I almost have RosterMaster(PostNuke) updated to work with the new site setup as well as working on any server (last one had trouble with fopen() ). I told my guild I'd have it ready yesterday but I have a crappy stomach bug that's keeping me lying down so it'll likely be tomorrow or the day after. And when I say almost I really do mean it... 2 or 3 quirks and I'm good with it.

You'll really like that it now has the key and heritage functionality of Dragonfly's port. I know it's been slow in coming but the extra functionality took some thought to implement.

I don't know of a DKP module though, maybe when I"m done this I'll give it some thought... shouldn't be half as difficult.

  • Greetings Topiatic,

Is there any way that I can get a copy of the POSTNuke version of Roster Master? I can not find a copy of it any where...

I greatly appreciate any and all assistance.

I have the EQDKP app installed and running... Just need the Roster Master and I can move on to other items on my guild setup list..

    Thanks,
  • Is there anythin for BF2 like this about guys?

It would be cool if more coders made some gaming modules for postnuke they would go down a treat for all us game site makers ;)

  • RosterMaster (PostNuke) is finished and just needs a quick packaging for a testing release. Which I will do as soon as I get home from working.

  • Sorry folks, when I got home yesterday I thought I'd run one last full test on it and it failed on initialization icon_mad ... fixed that and the log transfer failed... fixed that etc. etc.

I think I've got a handle on it now and as soon as it's good I'll make it available.

    Thanks for your patience.

  • Ok... now everything succeeded in multiple user type situations and I'm just 'making sure it's right'. Unless southern Ontario gets a good dump of snow within the next 24 hours, the module should be available for testing within the same amount of time.

    Again, thanks for your patience.

There is also a plugin for advProfile allowing you to add a tab for character info...

  • HAHAHAHAHA Yeah right 24 hours... snow storms... ice acremation... what else? Anyways there's just no accounting for the producers of Everquests ability to let slide things that will inevitably mess up anyone. But I've made my bed and chosen to sleep in it.

That being said, it's done! A testing release is currently available at this link.

To upgrade remove the old module EXCEPT your LOG file (store it until your done uploading/extracting and be sure to put it back as it gets parsed into the DB during the upgrade process... it can be permanently removed thereafter), don't just overwrite or you'll end up with clutter and possibly strange errors. Otherwise it works as any other compliant module should for install and or upgrade procedures.

As always, backup first icon_biggrin .

I've tested it thoroughly at home and on my Guilds live site but one person can only test so much. Please give me your feedback and possibly post a link to it's usage for me.

If feedback is good and no major bugs crop up I'll officially release it 2 weeks from now.

One thing to note, I've decided to go with the unofficial XML feed for the time being to populate the roster. I have a parser for the cvs *cough* feed ready that can be implemented, but I really don't want to lose the extra information provided... especially the character ID upon which (along with user ID) the DB schema is built.

  • This file was updated January 23rd 2007 6:40pm EST to add the extra 6 heritage Quests that were missing. It is merely a file update and requires no upgrade from the previous 0.96. You'll need to go to the Admin area to update the Heritage Quest table.

The first issue hinges on the second issue... which it shouldn't and I'll fix. I actually remember thinking I had to get back to that but got lost in some epiphanical coding moment and forgot all about it. That being said I'll look into it, that error is unique and descriptive (not all are) and should be easy to track.

erm my bad, I've removed that Smarty function but forgot to remove it from the init script. That being said the only reason it should come up during init is if there is a blank field on the previous page. I'll fix that too but that isn't a critical error, but rather a message describing input errors.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll get right on it and update the test release asap. I've already added the Heritage Quest Icons and made use of overLIB but still need to find a way to degrade it gracefully.
