I like Typo3...a lot! But I'm still using PostNuke too.
You need to base your due diligence on specifics....like what do you plan to do? What features are you looking for? Which features are "must haves" and which are merely convenient? How much work are you willing to put into building, hacking, and tweaking to get what you're looking for?
Until you know what you're looking for, it would be imposible for anyone to say which would be better for you....and that's something you'll need to decide.

Yes indeed!
My project is a Multisite Newspaper page. each website in different language (2-3). all websites share the same users database, some articles will be shared. a different layout for each website. an independant blog module on each website, forums on each website, etc...
The system must be pretty stable and powerfull. The plan is too be able to handle at least 100k users overall -

i think postnuke, it's lighter for multisites (Typo3 is 40mg+ ),
also pnforum is maybe the best forum and there are a lot of diferent and original themes, there's Pagesetter,..
I haven't used typo3 far from for testing fun, so i can't comment more..
