Hi
I just installed the last stable version for download from postnuke.com 0.750.
Everything seemed to be ok until I went to the index page... the browser shows this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: session_set_save_handler() in /usr/local/www/data-dist/PostNuke-0.750/html/includes/pnSession.php on line 94
I went to the file and to the line but didnt see anything strange... anyway I'm not a PHP programmer so I have no idea what is the problem...
thanks a lot for your time
regards

Seems your PHP is compiled without some functions...

crsn,
Did you have any success with your problem ?? I have installed PostNuke today on our Suse9 server and I get the exact same error message when trying to view the index.php for the first time.
Trouble is, I don't know what to do to fix it :(

Hi,
Well, I tried to recompile PHP with more options, etc. but didn't have success. Then, I uninstalled apache13 and installed the new apache2 version; but I couldn't apply PHP to apache2 because of a problem with my ports tree (I use FreeBSD) because of my fault I think... :/
If I have any news about this I'll post it.
If you solve the problem, please, tell how ;)

Hi again,
Well I've progessed a bit further (but only a tiny bit!!).
I'm dammed if I know what I did to fix the "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: session_set_save_handler() in /usr/local/www/data-dist/PostNuke-0.750/html/includes/pnSession.php on line 94" problem, but now I have progressed to the infamous "Problem in Database Connection".
Having searched through the forums, I see many people suggest that the problem is caused by incorrect settings in config.php.
Apart from the Database Host information, I'm happy the rest is spot on.
I don't know what the "Database Host" should be as it's on a server on our internal network etc.
The installation is on a Suse9 Linux server, with MySQL 4.0.18, PHP 4.3.4 and Apache 2.0.49.
Any ideas folks ?
Dave
