  • Frank, Is this version of PhPro the one you are working on? If not, can I get my hands on the code??? This looks to be running on 76x...

    http://www.postnukepro.com/index.php?module=phPro&func=main

I put it through its paces and it seemed to be pretty well bug free from an unregistered user perspective.

Frank, Is this version of PhPro the one you are working on?

No, this is an older version than Nabirov's one...

Some missing features also apparently, I could make it available if wanted though.
  • Yes please, if it works with 761 as it works onthe pnPro site. You can send to joe<at>jmt-2.com. THanks! It will make me less impatient waiting for pnCareers! :>)</at>
  • Has anything happened to this module in the last month or so?
  • Yes and no. Nothing ready for production yet I don't believe (although I have a somewhat broken version running on a live site...)
  • For what it's worth. I'm using a cleaned up version of 3.0 beta_25032004 on PN .760 and it works pretty well, AFAICT. Here's my old post about it. If anyone wants it, just ask. Later!
  • Bill, Does the resume upload feature work in your version? If not, are the input resumes formatted well in the display?

Thanks, Joe - if the answer to either or both of those is yes please email what you've got to joe<at>recruiterjoe.com

    Thanks!</at>
  • Gentlemen,

Everything phPro does can be done in Pagesetter and you have the increased versatility of adding your logo, or other material to the forms printed out, or, should your country allow, photos. It's a stiff learning curve, and I'm not wholely satisfied with the results (I'm having problems with permissions still and I want to do more with formatting the forms) but Pagesetter is really worth it.
  • Anything live I can look at?
  • Well, that's the problem I'm having with permissions; only admins can see the list in the block right now. Sigh.
  • Have recently been communicating with Aidan Peiser, one of the original authors, about updating this mod. Anyone interested in supporting his work please email joe<at>jmt-2.com and I will forward you what he has been telling me.</at>
  • You can always forward me a note... I have enormous problems right now at work so that is why I'm rarely in any code whatsoever currently. So I try to make a very quick apparition when I can.
  • Merry Christmas Frankie! I understand work problems. I have them as well (which is why the $ I send is so light ;) )

Most critical 2 things for me are title SEO optimization for phPro, and RSS feed for phPro. I get the impression neither of these are too immediately available, so was just trying to really move this forward if possible. I know I haven't been able to do much $ wise for you, but am just looking for the most effective use of what little $ I have to spend. I hope I have not offended you in any way. Your responsiveness has bwwn fantastic!

After that, looking for some other deep customizations.

    Still at Joe<at>jmt-2.com</at>
  • Boy, I thought all along this problem was ap ermissions problem, as pubList would only show when I was singed in as admin or as an advanced member. It turns out to be a Pagesetter problem as shown:

    "getPubList" failed: You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'ON tpa_topic = pg_topic AND tpa_module = 'Pagesetter' ' at line 18 while executing: SELECT DISTINCT nhra_pagesetter_pubdata3.pg_id, nhra_pagesetter_pubdata3.pg_pid, pg_author, UNIX_TIMESTAMP(pg_created) as pg_created, pg_approvalState, nhra_topics.pn_topicname, pg_revision, pg_online, pg_field14 FROM nhra_pagesetter_pubdata3 LEFT JOIN nhra_topics ON pg_topic = nhra_topics.pn_topicid LEFT JOIN nhra_pagesetter_pubheader ON pg_tid = 3 AND nhra_pagesetter_pubheader.pg_pid = nhra_pagesetter_pubdata3.pg_pid LEFT JOIN nhra_topics AS AccessTopic ON AccessTopic.pn_topicid = pg_topic JOIN nhra_topicaccess ON tpa_topic = pg_topic AND tpa_module = 'Pagesetter' AND tpa_category = 'Careers' AND tpa_access = 'read' AND ( tpa_groupid >= 0 AND nhra_group_membership.pn_gid IS NOT NULL OR tpa_groupid < 0 AND nhra_group_membership.pn_gid IS NULL) OR AccessTopic.pn_topicid IS NULL LEFT JOIN nhra_group_membership ON ( nhra_group_membership.pn_gid = tpa_groupid AND nhra_group_membership.pn_uid = 110) WHERE (pg_publishDate <= NOW() || pg_publishDate IS NULL) AND (NOW() < pg_expireDate || pg_expireDate IS NULL) AND pg_online AND pg_showInList AND (pg_language = 'eng' OR pg_language = 'x_all') AND NOT pg_indepot ORDER BY nhra_pagesetter_pubdata3.pg_lastUpdatedDate, pg_revision

Sometimes the error would show and most times it will simply be blank. Looking through the messages on elfisk shows the problem has been around for a while. Some thought it was a version error but apparently not.

So much for Pagesetter doing the job . . .
  • any updates on the pnCareers front?
