  • Hi:

Well this module seems abandoned. I can put $75 to make a Fund so we can contact a developer to make it work with PN .75 (and .76) and make it pnRender ready. I think about a Fund of $225. Of course if a dev could do it for less, better.

This module is somehow complicated and it is very useful for posting of Job Vacancies and Resume Center.

The purpose will be to bring the module back to the community.

    Any takers?

    wink
  • Did you asked the author ?

Or did you had any answer would be a more appropriate question icon_lol

    ARRRG my eyes........ pnHTML........
  • Hi Chestnut, the developer last post here was on march 2004. The phPro web site is _abandoned_ no answer have been given to questions in more than a year. Have no contact information and another question is IF he can do the pnRender thing.

phPro is a development from phpprofession (Aidan). For what I know both projects are abandoned.

  • Sheesh... these guys sure love what they do... icon_rolleyes

Now that I'm thinking about it......... I think someone either from phPro or phpprofession contacted me in the pncUserHack golden age to work on their mod or do something about matching the 2...... But I didn't do anything in the end because I couldn't for time reason, etc (the usual blabla)... So long ago...

    I wonder if it's them...
  • Hi:

Well the project roots are more ancient... .714 era and the module name was profession...

    Later
  • Yup... it's them... only reason I could be member of their site icon_lol
    http://profession.sourceforge.net/user.php?op=userinfo&uname=Chestnut&module=NS-User

Does that make me a good candidate ? he he !

Hey and I had a very cute avatar :)
  • Hi:

Well, sure!. Hope some other PostNuke users could support this to see how much can we raise and how fast.

IF we set contribution of $25, with 4 persons there will be a $175 Fund. Not too much but just a appreciation for working on this. Chestnut will you do it for $175? I think it will be more feasible / real to get 4 persons contribute $25 each.

    Regards! :)
  • I hate to be a party pooper, but 4 x $25 = $125. :)

I suppose it is with taxes huh ? wink
  • Hi Wendell:

    Clarifying: 4 x $25 = $100
    My apportation = $75

    Total $175

Sure users could contribute more if they can.. I am just rolling the ball to see if we can have a functional, pnRendered phPro or whatever (if we choose to have it with a new name). BTW, I suggest pnCareers but that is secondary. Optimal scenario is to have it at NOC too.

    Regards!
  • mmm... Don't set the limit yet :) (Not that I am hugry icon_lol )... And I'll take a look. The only thing I don't like is the file resumé wich means file upload, security, etc...
  • Well, I'll contribute $25 for an updated version. We use phPro now. I've not allowed the resume function because it asks illegal questions for here in the US.

  • Can you confirm that the 3.0 alpha 25032004 is the latest ?
    http://www.nabirov.net/

And I will use my NOC's cvs if I work on it : http://noc.postnuke.com/projects/pnconcept/
  • Oh and will need the new name. Your choice !
  • Chestnut,

I was in the maillist of Nabirov for phPro (beta testing and translation to italian), and i can confirm you that 3.0 alpha 25032004 is the latest.
Winesalento did a package with italian (it is on maxdev), but basically it is the same version.
Last time I had some -speaking- with Nabirov I was suggesting the introduction of the so-called European Curriculum (http://europass.cede…+CV/navigate.action.
Not so useful for american friends, but probably a must for european sites.

Consider my help if you go on!

[edit: 16:12] European CV replaced by Europass CV (link above is correct). A lot of useful information on the site, including translations in all the 25 languages of the EU, and an on-line compilation tool!
