I saw that I have 6 active links in each article. One is "category", the second one is "title", "topic" "read more" "send article" and "print article".

I don't need them!! Each article means 6 extra links in my site. It isn't good for bots!!!

I want to remove: "send article" and "print article", active link should be removed from "topic icon" (icon should stay, but without active link). Category link and info about category should be removed at all and I think if I should remove active link from each article topic (I have "read more") - but I'm not sure in this case. Maybe google won't register meta tegs from each article if I remove this link."Read more" must stay because it helps in navigation.

I suppose that "read more" would be enough and we can remove active link from the same "title" but as I said - I'm not sure. So if somebody will suggest...

But anyway - how to remove all this links that I mentioned??

    -send article
    -print article
    -active link from topic image
    -category link

and if somebody will help me with this question about title I would be also very happy:)

oo..and I use AT - XP theme but this question is common for all AT themes because all of them use this design

Well, if you read the AutoTheme docs you'll see a "List of Commands" near the bottom somewhere. Next look in your theme folder for summary.html and article.html and you'll see where those commands are used. They will look something like:

    Code

    <!-- [news:html:send] --> and <!-- [news:html:print] --> or <!-- [news:html:catandtitle] -->

Just remove the ones you don't want. Doing that will sometimes mess with the table structure so you might have to adjust that to suit.

hmmm...sorry but I don't have such commands. I have these commands:

    - it's responsible for "read more" , "print" and "send"

but if I remove it "read more" will disappear also - how can I remove only "print" a and "send"???

    the nex one is

but I want my image - I don't want only active link "inside" of it

    and the last one:

I'm sure that I don't want "cetegory" - but I still want my "title"...

and that's why it's not so easy...

Not sure how you would do that either. What version of at are you using? In At.8 there are other commands to do with searchtop, which is what you are dealing with and one of them is

    Code

    news:text:topicimage

I'm not sure what that does but it won't do any harm to try. Other than that you might have to hack the news module to get what you want and that might be more than you want to do. If you do have to go that way have look at modules/news/funcs.php around line 386

hmmm - OK, I removed active category link and these two "send" and "print".

    news:text:topicimage

Hehe - I just tried it ;) - it deactivates active link but unfortunatelly with all image ;). Only text from "alt" command would stay in that case :)

What do you think about all my "idea"?? Could it be good for google and other search engines?? I also installed hack which makes each article to have own meta title etc. I suppose that only one link to each article (read more) is enough???

Or maybe it will be better if I would remove "read more" and put active link in the title??? ( I think that there is no difference but I'm not sure - I'm not very familiar with problems how do bots work)
