    Hi,

You are right, but you have doubt whether "Who is Online" info is real or not. It is exactly real.
It doesn't show something wrong as far as I know and to the best of my knowledge.

If it is showing 90 GUESTS, MAN..... you have lot of VISITORS......

    Have FUN....

This depends on the length of time you set it for in settings. ;)
for instance, if you were to set it to 6 hours, 90 guests mean nothing, unless of course no one knowes of your site.

I have both of my sites that are live, set for 60 minutes. but less is ok. Dont go to low, or you wont be able to login*. ;)

*I did this and had to edit thru phpMyAdmin to get back in. lol

The online user count is based on the number on currently active sessions and, therefore, depends on the expiration time you set in the preferences. If the expiration value is long, you online count will be inflated.

This number can also be inflated by user agents that don't support cookies (since PostNuke sessions are cookie based). What this means is if I visit your page using a browser that doesn't have cookies turned on, every page I view will result in a new online user.

What this also means, is that when your site gets hit by a search bot (search engines generally don't support cookies), your online user count will go through the roof, because most bots will try to go through every page of your site within a short period of time. So if you site countains 50 visitable pages and the bot goes through all of them within 5 minutes, your online count will be 50 more than its supposed to be. If you have 100 pages, it will 100 more.
