Installation, Configuration, & Upgrades  ::
Moving from PHP Nuke and IPB to Postnuke and PNPHPBB
 Top

  • Hi,

    I've taken over a friends gaming site and am upgrading it to PostNuke, used to have some knowledge about both systems and PHP coding but that was some years ago!

    What I wanted to do was firstly upgrade the PHP Nuke to PostNuke. I found this http://news.postnuke.com/name-News-article-sid-2640.html but I have no idea what version of PHP Nuke is in use at the moment, how would I find out?

    Also, on the site is a separate version of Invision Power Board v1.12 which I wanted to upgrade to phpBB. I've found a converter on the phpbb website which would let me do this, but how would I use this with PNphpBB? So that I could integrate it with the PostNuke.

    I guess that I'd have to ditch either the user accounts from the forum or from the PHP Nuke in order to combine the two?

    Many thanks for your help, and I apologies for my incompetence and if this question has been posted before and I was unable to find it.
  • No idea how to find PHP Nuke version, perhaps a view source?

    I'd ask at the PNphpBB support forums about a converter..

  • I've look at the index and config files and can't find it!

    Went over to PNphpBB, someone had a similar question and I'll do as stated there for the forum upgrade.

    Thanks.
