Been hacked and lost index.php
 Top

  • Someone decided it would be great to replace my index.php with a short message labeling who to give credit to.

I have tried to upload an older version of the index but it seems to be looping.

    Everything else seems fine ...

I can get into the website via another page, www.hyper-studio.co.uk/profile.php, and everything works fine.

    Can anyone help please?

  • It seems the index is not the only thing the hacker touched...

Did you made a back-up ? Restore your site would be the more secure solution I'd say because you never know what he did exactly...

Other than that, what are the difference between your index and the other page you showed ? Try to see if a module used on the main page could be hacked too and if you find one, go to the admin panel to disable it.
  • Well I am using postjump and nukewrapper for the frontpage, and only nukewrapper on the profile page.

Did have a backup, 2 infact one on old usb pendrive which is gone and the other on a reformated machine ...

will reload postjump to see if that will help
