How do you remove a story (with no comments) or articule or news? How do you submit articles with dates older than today? TKS

To remove a story, here you go : http://www.yoursite.com/admin.php?module=NS-AddStory&op=RemoveStory&sid=[ID of the story]

Is there a button for this somewhere?

Depends of your theme. Some themes show these links (if you have the rights obviously) directly when you read the article, for an example. If it's not the case, it's always possible to modify the theme so it can show you these options.

And there is still the admin panel, which list the last news you wrote. You can edit or delete any news listed there.

Also is it possible to change the date on news/articles to make them older than today's date, IE insert articles from a few years ago?

On the admin index, you have the last x articles listed - there are edit / delete links next to the articles, or you can enter an article id to edit instead.

I don't think you can insert past dates through the admin interface, but you could do it in the database

A thing which would be great is a module able to manage your news with facility (note this is a keyword).

Something which would simply list your news and where you can modify the date of the news or put a "expiration" date for your news... nothing less, nothing more, just a simple stuff like that.

I've seen a few modules which were supposed to do that but they were complicated and not always compatible with the lastest versions of Postnuke/PHP.

A simple page would do that better and would be much more easy to use IMHO, I'll do this "plugin" when I'll have time.
