How to place a module on start page?
 Top

  • Hi,

I need to place a module(not a block) on start page(home) so that only the module appears on center block when home is called.

    Can this be done somehow?

I have a custom made PHP program, and need to make it appear on start page when my website is first called. I can wrap it around with PostWrap, but do not know how to put it in the center block and make it available when home is called.

I would really appreciate if anyone can suggest a solution.

    Many thanks in advance.
  • You need to create a module, with a pninit.php (which will initialize, create your module, etc...), launch it, and point to this module from the settings panel as the starting module.

Sorry for my english, but I hope you understood what I mean.
  • To clarify Nuky's post, the starting module is selected in Admin -> settings.

If it's not a qualified module, or you don't need it to be, you can try the Start module. It's available at http://lottasophie.sourceforge.net, and it lets you choose from a wider selection of content for your index page.

  • You can get PostJump from the same place where you got PostWrap. It's was written for this specifically, to set any PostWrap page as your start page.

  • Personally, I'd use dynamod and set that as my start page. www.markwest.me.uk
