its either a htaccess problem or a mod_security problem most likely. Or the permission of the folder is incorrect -

its a module for apache that try to stop hack attempts. There must have been a update lately, because i have been having some probs with it lately. Disabling mod_security for that particular domain seemed to work. Im only doing this temp to see if i can find out what the prob is. -

im just saying it could be that. Are you using short urls? or have you renamed the module using aliases? -

YUP,
in the settings I have the site as being www.orionfaction.com
yet our main DNS is orion-faction.net
I had all the downloads with that as the link.
once I changed all the downloads to www.orionfaction.com everything worked. -

I don't know where secure downloads is. (off to the search through the admin section I am. )

Im taking a guess that looks at the URL requesting requesting the file and if its doesnt mach the domain name, it wont work. Protects from hotlinking
