  I get this message when I try to click on the downloads of my page. I use Updownload.

  its either a htaccess problem or a mod_security problem most likely. Or the permission of the folder is incorrect

  just debugging thats why I put it that way.
  
  I will have a look at the htaaccess file.
  
  what about mod_security? first I heard of that.

  its a module for apache that try to stop hack attempts. There must have been a update lately, because i have been having some probs with it lately. Disabling mod_security for that particular domain seemed to work. Im only doing this temp to see if i can find out what the prob is.

  Can you keep me in the loop on what you find out.

  im just saying it could be that. Are you using short urls? or have you renamed the module using aliases?

  nope no short urls. I don't know how to set it up.
  I have not renamed the module.
  I have dns aliases yet I have the files fixed with the main dns.

  YUP,
  in the settings I have the site as being www.orionfaction.com
  yet our main DNS is orion-faction.net
  I had all the downloads with that as the link.
  
  once I changed all the downloads to www.orionfaction.com everything worked.

  Im taking a guess that looks at the URL requesting requesting the file and if its doesnt mach the domain name, it wont work. Protects from hotlinking
