    Hi All:

I need to know how to specify a TOPIC within this news_summary.htm. This is from the Advanced GPL theme released by Lobos. This is an AutoTheme. Say I have topic1 topic2 topic3 and I want the news_summary to show news only from topic3...

BTW, what I am looking is to have multiples news_summary.htm to have news shown separately by topic. I am incorporating Channels. Could having a politics_news_summary.htm, health_news_summary.htm conflict within each one???

    Regards!

I believe the initial line is a loop, what happens if ya make that i=3. Since most languages 0 is first, try it as 2 also.

Kinda hard to tell what's going on up there because $i is never used. Do you want to only show topic 3 on the homepage or do you just want different templates for the summaries when you view the list of articles in a topic?

    Hi:

I will have different news_summaries I want each one to show news about a SPECIFIC topic.
So politics-news_summary.htm will be changed to only show news related with politics topic.

    Thanks in Advance.

So let's assume that Politics is topic 2, do the following in AutoTheme admin:

    - create a Custom Module for News with Module Options topic=2
    - select politics-news_summary.htm as the Summary template and make sure Alternating Summaries = No

Voila... When you view the articles in Politics topic, the politics-news_summary.htm will be used for the articles.

    Hi Shawn:

Hmmm, there is a complication. I have created channels within _modules_. When I want to define a specific news for a channel I see there is no such option in AT. Have verified with standard module configuration and the same...

Seems I will need some kinda of hack... Please reply.
