    Hello

Is there a way to allow guest to put their names as authors of comments (like in various comments systens, such haloscan) even if not registered? In the actual way I set permission to guests comment, but appear as author "posted by anonymous" I can change to posted by "guest" or anything, but I want a field guest put their name.

Also, is there a way to print the comment box directly at the bottom of every page, so the user dont need to click on submit comment button?

..i've done this.. unfortunately, my "main" hard drive is in a coma .. everything has been recovered, I just haven't had any time to get the database and filesystem restored.. I'll be back up this weekend though.. I'll post back a URL where you can download the hack.

PS:.. I think the new version of EZComments allows this.. if so, i definitely suggest using that.

Thanks, I will wait to someone put the hack online.

I tried to install ezcomment, replacing the files in news modules, and the module just stop working with the error
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /var/www/modules/News/article.php on line 103

EZComments doesn't replace any other files.. install it like any other module.. overwriting the news mod can be.. errr.. bad news icon_redface

..upload it, regenerate the modules, initialize EZComments, activate it and then go to the EZComments admin are to set your configuration..

Ahh.. this too.. if it does indeed have the feature (guest posting with names), you'll have to go back to the modules admin and fine "News" in the list and click "Hooks" and check the box (or whatever) to enable EZComments as a hook for news.

    Hello

I've some work to install EZComments on the system. Then, I can get it running. But it dont have the real name field. So I downloaded all latest files in CVS repository, which seems to have the feature. But cannot make it running as it requires an alter command and my user in mysql dont have the privilege to modify mysql system database. its one of the causes of Im using phpnuke, which not requires this command.

So I expect someone send me the hacked core file for comments. thanks

I just changed the language files and turned the subject field into the name field.
