Whats the newest version of EZComments? I thought Mark West was working on it, but i didnt see a reference on his site for it. Ive never used them before, but im needing a better commenting system for the downloads module than what the stock one offers. Hoping to use it with a .76RC4 install.
Have a site where there is only one user name and pass for the downloads section (actually UpDownloads) and im wanting users to be able to comment on the download. Need to figure a way for them to be able to enter their real name too though. (cant pull that from profile of course since its the same user name for everyone viewing them.

Mark... apparently I was misled to think that anonymous checkout wasn't available but apparently, it is my firefox that wasn't showing the link "Browse the CVS"....... The link is showing in IE...
So here are the parameters for the anti-IE that may have the same issue.
protocol: pserver
server: noc.postnuke.com
port: 2401
repository: /cvsroot/ezcomments
module: EZComments (case sensitive)
username: anonymous -

All the access details are documented on the project page.

Yes, I know...
But as you can see : cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@noc.postnuke.com:/cvsroot/ezcomments checkout modulename
modulename must be replaced by a valid module name and I couldn't see if the modulename was EZComments, or modules, or some level before EZC, etc... and since it is case sensitive...
Got it at the second attempt but others may not succeed that easily. That is why I gave the info in my last post.
The problem could be my Firefox of course, but strangely, the EZC Scm page is the only one I don't see completly. I see without any problem the others... go figure... -

Odd, i had the same problem. Sry mark, thanks for pointing that out. Chestnuke pointed out that it most likely wont work with the updownloads module anyway. So i probably stuck tweaking the existing commenting system for it. =( -

I don't know updownload so can't comment on if it supports hook - given it a non API compliant codebase then it may not. I retrofitted basic hooks support into many of the modules with .726 and .750.

The last Version of UpDownload works also with hooks, in the last release was a little mistake so if you download the correct version of dl-downloaddetails.php here it should work like in the normal Core-Downloads module.
