Fork me on GitHub

Wiki and PostNuke - wich one ?  Bottom

  • Hi all...

I'm in search of a Wiki or a Wiki-like fully working with PN...

I tried the various forks over the past including the last pnWiki wich is quite cute but lacks many features of a real Wiki (full history and difference comparison for example).

Is there any real Wiki working with PostNuke with full features ?

I'm also open to any wiki-like or module having the same basics features of a Wiki with history and differences... etc...

    Suggestions are welcome !
    wink

Otherwise, I'll have to go to an external Wiki (not PN) I suppose.
  • This has been a problem for a while now. The various wikis I've used were all buggy beta modules. Right now my Wiki is broken, but it fell into disuse before that from bugs and poor integration with PN.

I'd love to see what suggestions people have for you. This is a large hole in PN and I'm hoping that some solution is currently under active use/development since the last time I checked.
  • After some thoughts and research... I'm building my own pnWikka based on the Wikka Wiki...

When it'll be near useable, I'll put it on my NOC project at http://noc.postnuke.com/projects/pnconcept/ because I know that at some point, I'll probably need help. It's kind of much bigger than what I'm used to do usually. icon_lol

For the moment... I can add pages, modify, use the wikiedit wysiwyg... almost all tags are rendering correctly, mmmmmm don't remember the rest.

What is to be done are the linking check, the category system and page, the last revisions history page, the diff page........ and such little things like that that the Wikka is doing.

It is not as clean as I would want it to be but it's moving slowly and nicely... demo soon. Link to the original Wikka : http://wikka.jsnx.com/HomePage

XHTML, pnRender and templated of course... I'm removing all the comments system from it as it will use hooks (EZComments will replace the comments system of the original Wikka).

    Etc... etc...

Hi Chestnut, nice to hear you've chosen Wikka as the Wiki engine for your new module :)
I've added a link to this forum on the WikkaWiki website, from the page dedicated to integration projects.
