I'd like to ask everyone to put in their favorite OS conference to the thread so as a project we can attend or present. :) Also might be interesting to sponsor a community member or group to attend if they are closer geographically. :)

..a little OT, but still publicity related:
I'd like to see release notices a little more widely spread. We'd have no problems announcing a release on VersionTracker (Mac and/or PC side), MacUpdate, HotScripts or the like.. it's not of utter importance, but I think we'd be pleased with the results.
carry on :) -

From my modest experience:
There is a growing conferences/congresses culture about the Free software, around Spain, many are for the first time and getting comitted to do it yearly,
When i see one i send an email asking if they include PHP comunities talk, proposing videoconferences,etc.. and 'all' (already 4 of them) didn't include it, 2 of them replying 'interesting idea/didn't think about it, for next year we'll do', so although we are still marginated, we will be much better treated in the future.
I couldn't add my favourite yet,,
next time! -

This is a fiction based in real life:
(Video)Conferences/Live acts,.. at The Open source festival,
i think many bands are elinking, some drink factories/delivers may need software i'm sure, Public administration entities and companies like to advertise when they move to OS..can be even more for freeal than others..
The recint installers could be acknowledged with Fantastico awards..
commit for an hour community work(or more for vouchers) for the ticket.. -
