  • Ah, I understand.

I've made several changes to the php.ini, reloaded Apache, and it still does not accept anything larger than 2 MBs.

    Hm.

Where are the values stored for CmodDownload? pninit.php? This file never seems to change no matter what changes I make in the admin screen.

I will keep trying. Not sure what else it can be.

Change yor php.ini and try again an upload.
You don't have to change anything in module_vars table. It was only for your information.

  • Ok, I can also give you access to my space too, to see if this would help.

  • It just occurred to me, do I need to restart the MySQL server too? I will try this, but something you said made me think of this.... will try.

  • I need to apologize... it is now working.

What happened is the php.ini files on the system were not being read by the version of PHP called by Apache. This is a version of Mac OS X which has a mind of its own. I finally traced backwards and saw that there should be a php.ini file in /etc. The way the filesystem is constructed, things are moved all ove rthe place. I copied one of the php.ini files into /etc, restarted Apache, and things started worked.

Big sigh. Sorry to put you through all that. I am not familiar with Mac OS like I am other *nix systems. There are several things on this box that are odd and don't work withut some fighting.

    It is working tho....

  • No problem. While searching the problem in my code I found some parts wich I could improve.
So it was also useful for me.

  • Well, that would be a good thing. It drives me crazy to not figure something out like this. But Mac OS X moves things around and I was tweaking every instance of php.ini. What wasn't obvious was none of them were being read. Didn't figure that out until I put one in /etc which is where I would think it would be. So it must have been reading defaults from somewhere. I did a recursive grep of the entire and still couldn't find the answer....

Anyway, it is a terrific program. And thanks for hanging in there. I will return to your site.
