post calendar categories and postnuke groups???  Bottom

  • help with postnuke groups and postcalendar categories???

    trying to setup categories eg like IT, curriculum and set permissions so eg the IT group can only see the it category and can only submit events to the IT category????

    any ideas?

    how do i get this working try various ways???

  • tried those permissions on that still no luck

    here are my permissions

    6 Staff PostCalendar::Category Curriculum:: Add ( this does not do anything)

    helpdesk PostCalendar:: :* Admin ( so far any users in helpdesk group can full add and manager events and post globally and etc...

    any other ideas???

  • is PC set to use topics as well? make sure those groups have pemission to write to the topics too...

    have you tried using the category number instead of the cat name, or with it?

    so group helpdesk is working as you wish, it's just the staff group that's not?

    do you have a link we can check out?
  • no we are not using topics with calendar.. should we try that instead???

    we tried category id and name..
    please show an example how you did it????

    helpdesk group has

    PostCalendar:: :* Admin
    and that works fine, its just when i start trying to get permissions for groups for categories it doesnt work..

    sorry don't have this site live...

    any suggestions and tips???
