Dear all,
really need some help on this one. I am developing a site for a client who needs to list a large databases of churches, in exactly the same way as the web links module works in as much as it lists links by category and sub category. But this module would have some listings with a website and some without, would also need to have fields for contact info etc.
Basically it is a "yellow pages" module I suppose (yellow pages being the UK business listing telephone directory).
Any help on this one please?

Some of the more advanced weblinks modules has many of the requests you got.
If you are to built such system it will need 3 parts:
1) Databasestructure
2) Admin interface
3) Display module
You will also have to select method of calling the data and re-use it. Should postnuke handle it all ? Totally seperate but integrated within postnuke ?
There is lot of work building such a module your self. Atleast one with totally userfriendly interface etc....
You can start out with a sample module, or a weblink module. Strip it and rebuilt it.
Good luck..
PS: I think there is a module called pnBusiness or something that may get closer to your needs... Extracting data into blocks and different viewings are a bit easier...

You can use one of the Address book modules, or you can use Pagesetter to create a listing like that.
