When someone goes to "My Account" and clicks on the link to "Edit your home page," wouldn't it be cool if they could actually *DO* something useful there???

In the admin modules or whatever, there'd be something for making a list of what blocks are available for each column, along with a setting for which blocks are enabled and disabled for unregistered users and what blocks are enabled and disabled when a user logs in by default.
There should also be images for each of them (similar to the Blocks section of the admin control panel) for moving blocks up and down.
Another idea would be to have "Close" boxes when they're actually looking at their home page so they can delete a box easily if they want (up and down arrows in the same area maybe?)
Are there any enterprising authors who think that such a feature would be relatively easy to do? I thought something like that would have been built into PN, since there's already a link labeled "Edit your home page," but it doesn't let you edit very much of it...
I realize that this type of thing would probably take months to do right/bug-free, so there's no big rush. Actually, I'm more surprised that it doesn't already exist...
Oooooh... along with that Close and Up/Down arrows, you could have a "Minimize" button that hides the contents of a box without removing it completely... (like the current closing function that's built in.)
I can picture in my head a whole lot of ideas of other stuff that would need to be included to make it easy enough to use, but it would probably be easier if the core were written first to add additional features later.
I would like to help as much as I can, but we *just* got a new web server here at work, and I know nothing about PHP. We've only had a Windows server before so I know some ASP stuff, but that won't be all that helpful. I'm willing to learn a bit (because I'm going to need to eventually anyway.)
