If you have something that you'd like to see a tutorial written on, jot it down here... That's not to say that I'll write a tutorial on every idea posted, but I will definitely consider everything. No idea is too large or small. Help me to help you by telling me what you need!
Also, I plan on creating a "glossary" of terms that will hopefully allow people to ask for help more accurately...so if there's a term that you want defined, also jot that down too. Keep in mind that the terms need not be specific to PostNuke per se; everything will be considered for inclusion.
Thanks,
Alar

Hi John, thanks for offering...
May I submit:
- PERMISSIONS!
- "Enable your personal menu block" (I'm the administrator and I don't have any good ideas... imagine what the users feel like!)
- The intricacies of PostCalendar
- PERMISSIONS!
...and hmm... that's all I can come up with at the moment. I'll do some exploring though. :)
Thanks again... -

Excellent suggestion. Yes, I believe an entire section on Permissions would be a great asset. Thanks for your input.

I started writing that guide, then stopped. Can't remember why now.

...It's almost a conundrum, that guide...
If they don't search, would they bother to read it anyway?
I've had people in the Permissions forum ask how to block downloads, when there's a sticky right at the top of the forum!
People drive me nuts sometimes...!

Simon, what was your motivation to create the pnGuide? It's, hands down, the best effort I've ever seen... Is it a project that's "done" or do you plan to add to it?
One guide that's greatly needed is a *full* module developer's guide...that takes a module idea, and documents the process as it's seen to fruition...explaining things along the way. I plan to do just this, but since I'm an "old schooler" (ie, pnHTML) I'm not so sure it's a good idea... Timewise, it's also not in my cards...

Drew Vogul withdrew the permission for the original pnGuide to be publically available, so I saw a need for a replacement. I spent some of my time on a sunbed on holiday writing sections, and on my return finished the guide off over the next 6 months. It's certainly a work in progress, and not finished yet. I'm waiting for the .8 codebase to near completion before writing individual guides for each core module (some are done and resting on my system).
I also plan to extend the guide to include a better manual for Xanthia, and a beginners guide to pnRender / Xanthia templates. This will take many hours to do, which right now I just don't have :(
Of course, the guide should evolve and develop as PN does over the next few years...

Very glad to hear that you're going to continue with it... Now, if only pnMgmt would make it actually visible to people...
Personally, I think it should be a prominent link at the header of the forums...

This is also on my to do list. I started one a long time ago, but didn't get very far with it. Plus, now that pnRender is here (YAY!) parts of it are no longer relevant. Perhaps with my next module, I'll just plung in and start that.
One thing that's been stopping me is what form it should take. I was actually leaning towards news posts on my site, since that could get me basic formatting with HTML, ability for folks to post comments, etc. -

I'd like to see the guide in the distribution, like the last one was, but we'll see...
