How can I add an icon/link to the user's account page (which has 'edit your homepage', 'edit your information', 'select theme' etc)? Does this require an ugly hack or can it be done from within my module?
I'm fearing the worst, so while im cringing anyway, will it get any easier? will the .8 release be my savior? Will I ever easily extend my module for search inclusion? Will the multilingualism ever be simpler? Will I ever quit asking so many damn question? Why are boobies so accessible but you can't squeeze them all? Is the .8 core stable enough for development yet? Is markwest the marathon man (650 commits in the last 30 days)?

It can be done from within a module but, currently, due to the your account system still being non API compliant the solution is a little hacky (basically PHP-nuke stye...). I'd recommend downloading pnForum and taking a look at the user subdirectory of this module. Once we have an agreed standard moving forward it will make its way into the example module.
p.s. Of those 650 a reasonable number where updated versions of adodb and Smarty.
