he's made a PHP library to encode email address on the server side and uses javascript to unencode them in the users browsers. seems like a good idea :)

hex and js encoding are buit into smarty .. the library that pnRender and Xanthia are built/based on. i agree. it's a good idea :) -

not sure about other methods, but if the browser doesn't support javascript using the Smarty method, nothing is displayed. this doesn't make a case for it's use, it just wouldn't seem to have any negative affect besides missing content ;) .. the alternative hex encoding might be a better suggestion
