I'm lost... what's the difference between a .7x theme and an AutoTheme?

and where do i find them? I see a few themes in the dl section, a few more in the pnThemes section... and all sorts of links that send me off to no-man's land.....I thought for such a big following there'd be more stuff available than i could handle....

do i even need a theme or is there some other way to edit back ground colors, text and the other stuff....

There are currently 3 types of themes for PostNuke

Straight up PHP themes that are the old style hard coded non-templated ones.

AutoThemes are HTML templates that use the third-party AutoTheme module from http://spidean.mckenzies.net

Xanthia themes are the new HTML Template based themes that use the Smarty engine in the newer (.750 and above) PostNuke releases.
