AutoBlocks / AT 1.7 / How do you enable in PN Blocks admin?  Bottom

  • Please don't direct me to the AT tutorials - they just don't give enough detail, or I'm just too stupid to understand! cry

    - I have created an autoblock; autoblock1, named "banners"
    - I ponted the "banners" autoblock to a newly created template named "block-banners.html"
    - I have added the tag to theme.html

    How do I enable/activate in PN Blocks admin?

    If I want to create a new block, say, one for banners - and I want to use the new autoblock positioning. Here is what I assume I would need to do;

    Go to PN/admin, select blocks, select add new block, and complete the field options.

    But why does my new autoblock not show in the "position" drop-down options menu? Shouldn't the available options now be;
    - left
    - center
    - right
    - autoblock1 :?:

    If not, then you can surely see my utter confusion icon_rolleyes

    Can anyone help direct me from this fog I've been in for days?

  • I wrote a tutorial for AT 1.0 which will get you up to speed. It's been called a "godsend," and a "holy grail of AutoTheme," (even by users of AT1.7) PM me your email address and I'll send it to you.
  • Im having problems with the autoblocks. I followed your tutorial and my page gets wacked out after I paste the code. I get a second main page in the autoblocks area and no right blocks. When I installed my AutoTheme theme there are 6 autoblocks showing up in the autoblocks section of my theme.

    This indicates that you haven't installed the modules/Blocks/pnadmin.php from the AutoTheme zip.
